Tips & Swaps

  • Swap: Swap in blueberries or bananas. For bananas, cook the slices with a little brown sugar and butter, pour them over the waffles, and top with whipped cream.
  • Make ahead: Slice and sugar the strawberries up to a few hours ahead and keep them chilled.
  • For kids: Set out the waffles, berries and whipped cream and let everyone stack their own.

Batch & prep ahead
Sugar the strawberries before service and keep them chilled. Hold the whipped cream in a piping bag for fast, even portions.
Hold & reheat
Warm the waffles on sheet pans at 350°F for 3–4 minutes, or serve them at room temperature for a self-serve station.
Plating
Two Medium waffles make a tall stack; one makes a lighter portion. Let the berries spill down the sides.
Holding
Hold the berries and whipped cream cold at 41°F or below.
